One week

We've been in Curitiba one week today. Unfortunately, I now have terrible sunburn on my shoulders, but it was my own fault for not using sunscreen. Portuguese class is going well. Since there are only 5 of us, we can move quite quickly. There is only one other native English speaker, but somehow we all are managing to communicate :).

I did my first economics test today and got a 90. So far, that class and American government should be fairly easy. Accounting is difficult, though, because it is just strange, and psychology got off to a slightly bad start. The test questions come from a random test bank on the computer and several of which I found horribly worded and probably flawed. Apparently other people had this problem too, as our instructor had to announce the policy for disputing fawlty questions. Also, I'm somewhat annoyed that I have to take psychology 101 at all, as I did it in high school and got an A+ final average. Oh, well, I guess I'm lucky to be able to study and travel at all, so I'll try to remember that.

Next weekend a bunch of us are headed to Florianopolis, a beach area south of here. This is the first time we are going to the beach, so I'm excited.
