A job at last!
As long as I don't screw up the "test drive" session tomorrow, I have a job!!!!!!! I found work today teaching English at one of the language schools down the street. They want me to teach beginners on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 1.5 hours each. I am so excited!!!! This is my first ever teaching job and I can't believe I'm actually going to be doing it in just a few days! Now I just need to make a lesson plan, do a brief demonstration, and if that goes well, I have the job. I am so excited!

Portuguese classes resume
The second term of Portuguese classes started last week, and I am oh so glad. This class is bigger than the last one, about 10 people instead of 5. We have a pretty good mix of people, Australian, Swiss, English, German, me (the only American), and 4 Koreans. This time, class only meets 2 days a week, so it will last me until I leave. I feel kind of disappointed that I will only have finished basic II, but I guess it doesn´t really matter.
Last night Zack and I went to see Norbit, the latest Eddie Murphy movie. As with most of his movies, it was kind of dumb, but a good laugh. Sometimes you just have to see a stupid movie.
I finished accounting with a B recently. For that I am exceedingly grateful. At first I thought maybe I should be the world's best accountant, but then I decided never to take accounting again. Some things only need be tried once :).
Tonight we are going to a futeball game, so that should yield some good pictures. I really like soccer games here and wish we had some nearby at home. I wish Americans liked soccer more.
That's about all for now, I'll have some pictures up soon.

March 2nd
At this point, I'd just like to say thank you to all my family who is reading this blog and giving me such great feedback. It's for you all that I'm writing this, so I'm glad to know you all are enjoying it :).
Nothing new has really happened. Yesterday I went shopping by myself and got some clothes. I even managed to speak Portuguese to some people. Not that I intended to, but apparently some people just want to converse, so it was okay. It's nice to meet people who can tell you obviously don't speak their language, but want to talk anyway.
My next Portuguese classes begin March 12. Right now I'm just trying to get ahead in my classes from home in this little bit of time I have. I've decided that I probably won't do online classes again if I can help it. It's not too bad, but 1) I'd rather be doing Brazillian things, and 2) they are really quite boring since I can't interact with anyone in person. I'm kind of big on personal interraction as most of you who know me probably know :). I am not complaining, though, if it weren't for online classes, I wouldn't be as far along in school as I am now, so it's all good.
I'll try to get some more pictures up soon. I realize that when you read a blog, you really just want to see the pictures anyway. They won't be of the beach for now because I think we've about exhaused our "vacation" funds, but I'll try to post some more of where we live and the city.
